This town puts the ghost in ghost town, as it is brimming with sinister spirits that really don’t like getting their pictures taken. If you’re unfamiliar with it, DreadOut follows a group of high school students who get lost in a ghost town during their school trip. Right now, the demo is the only way to get your hands on it, but it sounds as if the full game isn’t too far out. This is the first time I’ve covered an indie horror game that hasn’t been released yet. Other than that fun-sucking mosquito, the demo’s pretty great. That persistent creature followed me the whole time, and refused to let me lock him in a room so I could have some good scary fun. If there was a list of annoying video game bugs - the insects, not those of the technical variety - DreadOut’s mosquito would claim every spot on the list.
